The Fed will release its so-called dot plot, the nickname for the central bank’s projections of likely rate hikes, and economic projections at 2 p.m. Wednesday.

Analysts widely believe the Fed will hold off a rate hike this week and instead will start the process of shrinking its massive $4.5 trillion balance sheet.
